A little bit about us

Garry Sandison is a qualified member of The Master Photographer's Association, for full-time professional photographers and has won many awards for his portrait and wedding images. Although specialising in portrait and wedding photography, Garry is also available for school photography, playgroups and commissioned photographic work.

Being born and brought up in the beautiful Shetland Islands, in Shetland's capital, Lerwick, Garry comes from a family of three generations in the fishing industry, which he gave up, many years ago, to pursue his passion in photography.

I was a qualified nurse before moving to Shetland, where I met Garry, had 6 wonderful children and the rest, as they say, is history!

We are a well-established Shetland company, whose foundation is built on values, which we, as a couple have developed together, sharing life's ups and downs over the years, to provide for our family and offer our experience to provide portrait and wedding photographs for you and us to be proud of.

We both love people, and like everyone else we face challenges, but we get immense satisfaction when a bride and groom walk out of here eager to show off their wedding album to family and friends, or a new Mum and Dad walk out proudly with a portrait of their precious new baby.
